Since launching in 2003, Cornwall Community Foundation has made grants that touch many of the lives of people living in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This could not have been possible without the fantastic support of our fund holders including local individuals, families, companies, trusts and public bodies.

Twestival Cornwall got off to a great start last night with Nocturnal Networking at Starbucks, Chiverton Cross. It was a slightly odd sight, seeing everyone in their pyjamas but a great time was had by all in a very unusual location for that time of night. Everyone was full of energy and excited to be part of the countdown to Twestival Cornwall 2011.

While we supped on delicious coffee and hot chocolate, our special guest Twitter Bear, added a certain 'je ne sais quoi' to the evening and was happy to pose for photos. Who knows where else he will be for Twestival Cornwall this year!

The pyjama party also marked the start of our 'Guess The Number of Coffee Beans' competition which will run throughout the day - all you need to enter is your business card and a small donation with a special prize for the winner.

It was truely an amazing start to what will be a fantastic event - big thanks to the staff at Starbucks Chiverton Cross for all the effort they went to and for donating the proceeds from all the drinks. Also, thanks to pr4photos and Sideways Cornwall.

Partner to Succeed is delivered by YTKO. The Convergence-funded programme enables local businesses to partner with other like-minded companies either locally, nationally or globally so that they can work together to realise market opportunities that they would be unable to exploit in isolation. Such collaborations help drive sales and accelerate regional economic growth by maximising mutually profitable business activity.
Tim Bryant, Programme Director for Partner to Succeed says, “At Partner to Succeed we understand that innovation rarely happens in a vacuum. Great things happen when people get together and Twestival Cornwall is a fantastic example of this. We are proud to be associated with the event and wish all involved parties every success in raising funds for Cornwall Community Foundation.”

PFA Research provides organisations with the essential market intelligence to allow them to evaluate, quantify and address their market and customers, using proven market research and consultancy practice.
Robert Rush, MD of PFA Research has been involved with Twestival for the past two years, he said:
“There is something just a little bit special about Twestival that sets it apart from other fund raising events. I'm not really sure why but I think it's because Twestival is about true partnership that seems to have caught the mood of a generation, that isn't about business, or public, voluntary or charitable sector. It's just about people coming together, to enjoy being together and to make something happen for the good of others. And this time when it's Twestival Local, the link with Cornwall Community Foundation is just spot on. It's in their name of course, but it's absolutely perfect that CCF is 100% about helping Cornish needs in Cornish communities with money raised locally staying local. That makes me very, very happy for PFA Research to support Twestival Cornwall 2011.”

Skinner's Brewing Co. Ltd. was founded by Steve and Sarah Skinner in 1997. The company produces a range of six brands named after characters from Cornish folklore, best know are the multi-award-winning Cornish Knocker Ale and Betty Stogs Bitter.
The company uses some traditional 'hardware' for the brewing process, including a genuine copper 'copper' with steam coils that would not look out of place in a whisky distillery. But it also prides itself on the modern recipes and blends of international hops that have earned it the moniker of a 'new world brewery'.
